SPS 2000 PoleShark

A CSA Type AB Fall Protection System.

The SPS 2000 PoleShark Fall Restrict System was purposely designed to eliminate the possibility of linepersons falling from poles or wooden structures.

The Gripper Wheel is designed to provide a comfortable hand position from 30 degrees ahead of the horizontal position to 5 degrees behind the horizontal position, which allows the hands to remain clear of the pole and work in a natural climbing position. (see diagram)

The Instajust Cam Buckle™ assembly design allows the SPS 2000 to be adjusted without tension applied. On the ground or up the pole, to lengthen the distance between the gripper "D" rings, you just push on the "release" cam and the belt extends. To shorten the distance, you reach around the pole, grab the ears on the Instajust Cam Buckle™, push the "Release" cam and pull the slack out of the belt. This simple easy to use adjustment system covers the range of pole diameter sizes from large poles right down t poles 20 cm (8") in diameter.

The Gripper "D" Rings are designed to be used to a minimum of 10 cm (4") apart.

SPS 2000 PoleShark System Overview

The SPS -2000 PoleShark Fall Restrict System incorporates leading-edge technology to make the SPS 2000 design compact, adjustable, and symmetrical. This innovative design allows the lineperson to climb the pole using a more natural stance and provides unrestricted hands-free movement when used in the working position. One device can be used for left or right hand operations just by turning it over.

The SPS 2000 PoleShark Fall Arrest System is CSA certifed as a type AB Fall Protection System for working on poles.

1. Gripper "D" Rings

The new innovative, ergonomically designed Gripper "D" Rings combine the gripper wheels, the elastic security strap keeper bar, and the "D" ring itself, which has been rounded outward in the middle position. The moulded handles that cover the gripper wheel portion of the Gripper "D" rings allow the lineperson to hold the Gripper"D" and handles in a natural climbing position.

These small enclosed gripper wheels, when applied properly, ensure you will stay on the pole.

3. "Instajust Cam Buckle" Assembly

This new adjuster makes it possible to easily adjust the length of the SPS 2000 to fit larger diameter poles right down to poles 20.3 cm or 8" in diameter.

4 Elastic Security Strap

This adjustable black nylon strap is initially used to hold the SPS 2000 in place at ground level and when positioning the SPS 2000 above obstructions.
